About the Cavapoo
We've fallen in love with Cavapoos for a reason—and we think you will too. These gentle, intelligent companions bring together the best of two beloved breeds: the sweet, affectionate nature of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the smart, trainable personality of the Toy Poodle.
What Makes Cavapoos Special?
Cavapoos are known for their:
- Sweet, loving temperament that makes them wonderful with children and other pets
- Intelligence and trainability, thanks to their Poodle heritage
- Adaptable nature that fits beautifully in apartments, city homes, or country acreages
- Hypoallergenic coats that are excellent for families with allergies
- Teddy bear look that’s as cute as it gets!
At Pleasant Home Puppies, we raise both F1 Cavapoos (Cavalier King Charles + Toy Poodle) and F1B Cavapoos (Cavapoo + Toy Poodle). Our puppies typically:
- Weigh between 12-20 lbs when fully grown
- Stand about 10-13 inches tall
- Feature beautiful reddish brown, ruby, or cream coats with soft waves or loose curls
- Have sweet brown eyes, rounded faces, and those signature longer ears
- Are bred for health, temperament, and wonderful hypoallergenic qualities
We truly believe Cavapoos are a natural fit for any lifestyle, whether you're a busy professional in the city, a growing family, or empty nesters looking for a devoted companion.

questions?
We Have Answers
How much does a Cavapoo puppy cost?
Our Cavapoos are priced based on lineage, coat quality, and the extensive health testing and care they receive. Contact us for current pricing. Investing in a well-bred, health-tested puppy helps avoid costly vet bills down the road.
How will my puppy get to me?
We deliver anywhere in the continental United States. Options include personal pickup at our Iowa location or flight nanny services. We'll discuss the best option during your phone interview!
How long will it take to get my puppy?
Average wait time is 3-6 months. We're a small breeding program, which means getting a puppy from us takes time. Staying small allows us to properly socialize and dedicate our full attention to every puppy's needs.
What health testing do you do?
All parent dogs undergo comprehensive health testing, including genetic screening, evaluations, and regular vet checkups. Every puppy comes with our 5-year health guarantee—one of the longest in the industry.
How many litters do you have per year?
We typically have 4-6 litters per year. Staying small allows us to give each puppy the individual attention and socialization they need.
How much will my Cavapoo weigh as an adult?
Our Cavapoos typically range from 12-18 lbs when fully grown. We can give you a more accurate estimate based on your specific litter's parents.
Do Cavapoos bark a lot?
Cavapoos generally don’t bark excessively and are typically quiet, gentle companions. They may alert you to visitors, but the training and socialization we provide help ensure appropriate barking habits.
Are Cavapoos really hypoallergenic?
While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, Cavapoos are as close as it gets. They have hair instead of fur, meaning minimal shedding and reduced dander. Many allergy-sensitive families have successfully welcomed Cavapoos into their homes.
