How It All Began
We both grew up in the country, surrounded by animals we loved. Dogs weren't just pets—they were family members, playmates, and constants in our lives. When we started our own family, we knew we wanted to share that same joy with others.

Julia grew up on
Pleasant Home Road in Ohio (yes, that's where our name comes from!), and for over 8 years, we've been sharing the same joy we grew up with—helping families find healthy, well-mannered puppies
that fit seamlessly into their lives.
Every puppy is raised right here in our Southeast Iowa home, in an environment filled with love, laughter, and plenty of puppy snuggles. They're socialized from day one, trained with expert care, and loved like they're our own—because until they come home to you, they are.
Get to Know Us
Jordan
Jordan grew up surrounded by animals in the country, and not much has changed! These days, when he's not working as an engineer, you'll find him with the puppies: socializing, training, and making sure each one is ready for their big adventure to their new home.
Julia
She works from home as a health coach and full-time puppy cuddler (yes, that's a real job around here). She's also momma to our son Luka, coordinator of all things Pleasant Home, and the person behind those adorable puppy photos on Instagram. She loves getting to know families and making this whole process feel personal and stress-free.
Luka
Our son Luka is a big part of the process too! Every puppy gets plenty of time with him, which means they arrive in your home already comfortable with children, snuggles, and all the noise and chaos that comes with family life.

The Cam Family
Phay and Tonya Cam started as a guardian family in 2020. With three kids and busy careers, they know what it takes to raise happy, well-adjusted dogs in a bustling household. They're amazing pawrents to Bella!
The Hernandez Family
Cameron and his two boys started as a guardian family in 2021. Cameron works as an Engineer and is a great father to his boys and his two dogs, Maisey and Wrigley! His home is full of energy, love, and plenty of playtime—an incredible environment for raising our parent dogs.
